Hattie Blue Christensen is Baptized

Hattie Blue Christensen was baptized and confirmed by her father Bishop Eric Christensen on Saturday, March 12 to become the newest member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Those in attendance at this special event in Hattie’s life included grandparents, aunts and uncles and her Primary teachers Gary and Elizabeth Hall as well as B7 Ward Primary President Marla Huntsman.

Hattie – Blue for her father’s favorite Dodgers ball club and because her mom Kim thought it was cute and fit her bubbly personality – is a 2nd grader at Bloomington Elementary School.  According to Sister Kim, Hattie is “creative, loves to play with friends, dance, play soccer, write songs, play the piano and ukulele … and loves horses.”

The Bible Dictionary teaches, "from the Greek word meaning 'to dip or immerse,' baptism by water is the introductory ordinance of the gospel of Jesus Christ which must be followed by baptism by the Spirit to be complete.  Baptism is a most sacred ordinance which a person, having received it, can remember throughout life as a reminder of his/her commitment to follow the Savior."

Ward members are encouraged to help this beautiful child of God “learn of Him and become His disciple in all things.”

Congratulations, Hattie for making the decision to take this important step.
