Till We Meet Again, Bro. Pinder

Theron Tom Pinder was born October 18, 1917, in Parowan, Utah to Cecil L. Pinder and Mary Addie Neilsen Pinder. He passed from his earthly home to the arms of his Loving Heavenly Father on February 25, 2012 doing what he loved, working in his yard.

Theron married Barbara S. Durrant on November 15, 1968. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed travel and saw a great deal of the world together. In Barbara's words, he made everything wonderful.

Theron started his career at Kennecott Copper in January of 1959. At the time of his retirement he was Director of Safety, Health, Environment and Security. He was a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and had served as the Society's President.Theron and Barbara served a Mission at the Family History Library. He served as an Ordinance Worker at the St. George Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Glenn Pinder (Pat) of SLC/Idaho Falls, Patty Provost of Salt Lake City, Jack Durrant and Greg Palach of Los Angeles, Michael Durrant (Peggy) of Seattle, Bob Durrant (Suzanne) of Ogden, Jeanne (Greg) Owen of Salt Lake City and James (Teri) Durrant of Idaho Falls; 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; and his beloved companion Coco.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington 7th Ward Chapel, 3381 S. Mulberry Dr., St. George, UT. There will be a visitation Thursday, March 1, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, and also Friday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the Chapel. On Saturday, March 3, 2012 there will be a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn, 13th S. 2350 E., Salt Lake City, UT. Interment will take place at Noon at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery following the visitation.

Our lives have been greatly enriched by his thoughts, action and love.
