Getting to Know Katelyn

Katelyn Taylor, now a member of the Bloomington 7th Ward, grew up and moved here from Idaho Falls, ID about a year and a half ago.

Her son, Brecken, is a very energetic three year old stud.  He is chock-full of personality, and will always turn your frown upside down.

Katelyn grew up dancing most of her life.  She loves running, kick boxing and enjoys most any kind of fitness routine.  She is currently a student in the new Physical Therapist Assistant program at Dixie State College.

We are so blessed to have this dynamic duo in our ward!  Welcome Katelyn and Brecken!

We Welcome the Bertschi Family

James and Anne Bertschi and their family have recently moved to the Bloomington 7th Ward from the Santaquin/Genola area in northern Utah. Originally, James is from Akron, Ohio and Anne is from Elko, Nevada, but now call St. George their "home".

The Bertschi's have 4 children:
Kaci, the oldest is 21.  She lives with her husband here in St. George and works at Dillard's while her husband, Josh, is attending Dixie College.

Saige is 19 and attends Snow College in Ephraim where she has one year left.  She is currently home for the summer break.

Levi is 16 and will be attending Dixie High School this fall as a Junior.  He loves to golf and is just getting used to driving.  His parents warn, "Stay off of the sidewalks!"

Cache is the youngest at 11 years old.  He is very social and loves to have friends over.  He is your typical energetic, lego loving, Star Wars watching young man.

The Bertschi's enjoy boating and being on lakes.  They moved to Utah County in 1997 from Las Vegas where Bro. & Sis. Bertschi met while James was serving in the Air Force.  They lived in Santaquin and Genola for the past 14 years.  They are business owners and have been for most of their married lives.  They are sometimes accused of "practicing for retirement".

We welcome the Bertschi Family!  We are grateful to have them in the Bloomington 7th Ward.

To Girls Camp They Go...

The Young Women began their Girl's Camp experience today high in the mountains above Beaver.  They traveled through mountains and over water, set up tents and were ready to go by early afternoon.

They were instructed on altitude sickness, wildlife rules, tree pushing, and fire safety.

Thank you to the leaders and parents who have made this possible for our Young Women.  We can't wait to hear about their adventures.
