Tate Cogburn is Ward's Newest Member

Tate Williams Cogburn, 8-year-old son of Randy and Francie Cogburn, grandson of Sharon Carroll and nephew of Steve and Jill Fraser, is the newest member of the Bloomington 7th Ward. Tate, a 2nd grade student at Bloomington Elementary School, entered the waters of baptism on Sunday, February 3, 2019 where his father performed the ordinance and soon after confirmed him a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Witnesses to this special event were family members from Kannaraville, Cedar City and Las Vegas.

In "Preach My Gospel" we are reminded, "baptism is our first covenant.  God has always required His children to make covenants ... to make this binding and solemn agreement between God and man ... in which God promises to bless us and we promise to obey Him."

In the words of President Gordon B. Hinckley, it is now the duty of the members of the Bloomington 7th Ward to help Tate "become a strong and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - members who love the Lord, who understand the gospel, who fellowship with the Saints and who partake of the beauties and wonders of the gospel of Jesus Christ."

Welcome to the Bloomington 7th Ward, Little Brother Tate.
