Congratulations, Graduates!

Five handsome young men of the Bloomington 7th Ward - all future missionaries and future Church leaders - graduate from high school this month. Ian Anderson (son of Gary and Nancy Anderson), Wesley Woodland (son of Shauna and Gardner – grandson to Steve and Sylvia Peterson), Levi Bertschi (son of James and Anne)  are all graduates of Dixie High School.  Ian has already received his mission call to the Washington Kennewick Mission.  He will enter the MTC on July 31.  Levi will enter the MTC on August 14 in final preparation for 2 years of fulltime service in the West Indies Mission.  Wesley received his mission call to the Idaho Idaho Falls Mission. He enters the MTC in August.  Steve Gwilliam (son of Steve Gwilliam) is also a graduate of Dixie High School and simultaneously earned his Associate’s Degree from Dixie State University - an impressive accomplishment.  He will soon be submitting his papers for missionary service.  Cody Forsyth (son of Steve and Tina Forsyth), who has been home schooled for most of his life, graduates from the online Pioneer High School, based in American Fork, UT.  His future also includes a mission sometime in the fall.

These five young men also graduated from Seminary on Sunday, May 10.

Elder Bown, We'll Catch Ya on the Back Side

Peter Bown, the only son of President James and Paula Bown’s six children, enters the MTC in Provo on Wednesday, May 8 - the first of many transfers during his 2 years of fulltime service in the Texas Houston Mission.  Following in the footsteps of both parents and his two older sisters – Sarah who recently returned from 18 months in the Missouri Independence Mission and Elizabeth who will be home in February 2014 from the Poland Warsaw Mission – Peter is setting a good example for his younger sisters and his friends.  He is well-prepared for what lies ahead and eager to find those people in Texas who are prepared to hear the gospel message and are waiting for him!
