Happy Birthday Relief Society

On Thursday, March 8th, the Bloomington 7th Ward sisters celebrated the Birthday of Relief Society.

A yummy baked-potato bar, a lesson on the history of Relief Society in St. George and a musical performance by the Five Strings, were all on the agenda for the evening.

After a wonderful meal, the sisters were treated to a visit from a St. George pioneer, represented by our own Sis. Dori Wilkerson.  She gave a brief, well prepared and entertaining history of the Relief Society in Dixie.  Aren't we lucky that we don't grow silk worms under our beds for Enrichment?

Our history lesson was followed by a performance of 5 young talented children all from the same family, called The Five Strings.  A local group, these violinists played a little of everything.  Talisa, Tavia, Tiana, Trevin and little Tiarra, kept us all toe tapping and clapping while they marveled us for more than a few numbers.  What a treat for the sisters.

Thank you to the Relief Society Presidency and those who participated in this event.  We appreciate your hard work on the food and program. We are truly blessed to be a part of this inspired organization of sisterhood, the Relief Society.
